Clair Cawley, Marketing and Communications Director at PageOne, has introduced the Best Year Yet Team planning process to coincide with the commencement of their new business year. Clair had recognised the need for her team to have greater alignment behind the strategic plans of the business and approached Keith Goodchild, MD at Creo Performance, to help her generate the process by which her team could operate more successfully and deliver improved performance over 2010 – 2011.
Keith introduce the principles of business transformation associated with the Best Year Yet team programme and implemented a series of planning meetings during which her direct reports generated a one page plan to deliver their top 10 business objectives for the new trading year. Individual team members also created their own personal BYY plans to ensure the delivery of their team and personal goals.
Each month the team reviews progress in a performance review meeting using the BYY online results tool ‘Producing results on-line (PRO)’ and by using a ‘Dashboard’ that enables everyone to see how the team is performing against their monthly objectives.
Supporting the team leaders is also crucial so monthly performance coaching sessions have also been introduced to ensure that each team member gains the benefit of personal development and an insight into the 12 business principles that support the BYY process.
